Chapter (4) Mastering Maturity

1. The only person you have to compare yourself with is you in the past.

2. You do not have to be better than everyone else; you have to be better than you ever thought you could be.

3. People who know their value do not compare themselves with others.

4. Be less curious about people and more curious about ideas.

5. Maturity is when you realise no one will stay forever in your life. Thus, learn to walk alone.

6. The investments of maturity are massive, and they involve struggling loneliness, and pain.

7. Once I realised it was a privilege to be a part of my life; I stopped begging people to stay.

8. Maturity is when you do not force people to choose you.

9. If you are ever tempted to seek outside approval, realise that you have compromised your integrity. If you need a witness, be your own.

10. Some truths are not for all men or all times.

11. Take care of your thoughts when you are alone and your words when you are with people.

12. Do not explain yourself to anyone if you know your heart and intentions are puree.

13. Just because you can does not mean you need to do it.

14. Work for a cause, not for applause. Live life to express, not to impress.
