🔹 Story 1: Saul – Israel’s First King

Main Characters: Saul, Samuel, Israelites
Story Summary: Saul was anointed as Israel’s first king. Though he started humbly, he later disobeyed God and lost His favour, leading to his rejection as king.
Key Verses: 1 Samuel 9–15
Theme Connection: Leadership without obedience to God leads to downfall, even for a chosen king.

🔹 Story 2: David – A Man After God’s Own Heart

Main Characters: David, Saul, Goliath, Nathan, Bathsheba
Story Summary: David rose from shepherd boy to king, defeating Goliath and uniting Israel. Despite personal failure, he repented and remained devoted to God.

Story Summary: Solomon began his reign with great wisdom and built the temple. Later, his many wives led him into idolatry, and his heart turned from God.

Story Summary: King Hezekiah trusted God during an Assyrian siege. God delivered Jerusalem miraculously and extended Hezekiah’s life after his fervent prayer.

🔹 Story 5: Josiah – Young King Who Brought Revival

Story Summary: Ahab married Jezebel and introduced widespread idolatry. Jezebel was ruthless, killing prophets and stealing Naboth’s vineyard. Their reign ended in divine judgment.

🔹 Story 7: Esther – Queen Who Saved Her People

Main Characters: Esther, Mordecai, King Xerxes, Haman
Story Summary: Esther risked her life by approaching the king to plead for her people, the Jews. Her bravery and wisdom led to their deliverance from extermination.

Story Summary: Solomon’s son Rehoboam rejected wise counsel and ruled harshly. His pride led to the division of the kingdom into Israel and Judah.

🔹 Story 9: Nebuchadnezzar – Humbled by God

Main Characters: Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel
Story Summary: The Babylonian king grew proud and was humbled by God, living like an animal until he acknowledged God’s sovereignty.

Main Characters: Queen of Sheba, Solomon
Story Summary: The Queen of Sheba travelled to meet Solomon, testing his wisdom and marvelling at his kingdom. She praised the God who had made Solomon king.
