Chapter (2) Embracing Difference

1. They laugh at me because I am different. I laugh at them because they are all the same.

2. Yes, I have changed it because my old version was too weak.

3. Never judge me by my past; I do not live there anymore.

4. Never judge people by their past. People learn, people change.

5. I am slowly becoming the person I should have been long ago.

6. I am different, and it has cost me many people.

7. I am not here to fit into your world but to make my own.

8. I am not usually the one that handles the version of me you created.

9. I do not take anything personally anymore. What people say about me is a reflection of them, not me.

10. I am unlike others, and that is where you made your first mistake.

11. I do not care what other people think of me. I enjoy my life with my own rules.

12. I am at the point where I do not even care if people like me anymore. Suppose you like me—fantastic. Suppose you do not, okay. I will be fine either way.

13. I no longer force things. What flows, let it flow. What crashes, crashes. I only have space and energy for things that matter to me.

14. I am at the stage where I avoid unnecessary arguments, so even if you tell me the world is flat, you are correct. Enjoy. I have no time to fight with egos and small minds.

15. Sometimes, I agree with people, so they will stop talking.

16. I have no desire to argue with anyone, and I choose to walk away from things not meant for me because I want peace.

17. I do not walk away to teach people a lesson. I walk away because I finally learned mine.

18. Distance is my new response. I do not return energy. I remove myself.

19. Distance is my new answer to disrespect. I no longer react, I no longer argue, I no longer dive into drama. I remove my presence.

20. When I feel ignored, I distance myself.

21. My doors are closed for those who left me when I needed them the most.

22. When I shut my mouth and walk away, it does not mean you have won; it simply means you are not worth my time anymore.

23. I am not heartless; I just learned how to use my heart less.

24. I hate when people cannot see the wrong in their actions but see the wrong in mine.

25. I do not understand why someone can tell so many lies and never feel bad about it.

26. Nobody apologised for how they treated me; they blamed me for how I reacted.

27. I wish people could drink their words and realise how bitter they taste.

28. I wish I could hurt them the way they hurt me. However, I would not do it even if I had a chance.

29. No revenge, but I will make them regret it.

30. I do not hate people; I feel better when they are not around.

31. My most considerable flex is that I can be alone all day and still be happy.

32. I am under no obligation to make sense to you.
