Maturity: Chapter (1) The Path to Maturity

1. Maturity is when you can destroy someone who did you wrong, but instead, you breathe, walk away, and let life take care of them.

2. Maturity is learning to distance yourself from people and situations that threaten your peace of mind, self-respect, values, morals, and self-worth.

3. The moment you feel like you have to prove your worth to someone is the moment to walk away.

4. Once you are mature, you will realise that silence is more powerful than proving your points.

5. It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

6. Never assume that loud is strong and quiet is weak.

7. A lion is silent but is the king of the jungle.

8. Let the dogs bark; the lion is still the king.

9. Know which battles to fight and which battles to walk away from.

10. Ask yourself at every moment, “Is this necessary?”

11. A king needs a kingdom to be a king, not a queen.

12. Before you argue with someone, ask yourself, “Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?” If not, there is no point in arguing.

13. The aim of argument should not be victory but progress.

14. Small coins make sounds, and big notes are always silent.

15. Be like the ocean, calm but deep.

16. A calm mind is the ultimate weapon against all your battles.

17. Staying calm when things are not working in your favour is how to turn the tide.

18. Do not waste words on people who deserve your silence. Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can say is nothing at all.

19. Less talking, more doing. Less consuming, more creating. Less perfection, more progress.

20. When someone is arguing with you, sit quietly and observe them. Don’t be reactive anyway.

21. The argument is revealing true colours; be aware.
