Isaiah the Prophet

Category: Prophetic endurance & obedience in hard calling

Could avoid: Remain silent to escape rejection.
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’” (Isaiah 6:8)

Chose: Answered God’s call despite knowing people would resist.

King Ahaz (Negative Example)

Category: Failure of endurance under fear

Could avoid: Trust Assyria instead of God.
“If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.” (Isaiah 7:9)

Chose (wrongly): Refused God’s sign, sought human help.

King Hezekiah

Category: Endurance in prayer & trust under siege

Could avoid: Surrender to Assyria.

The Suffering Servant (Messianic Prophecy of Christ)

Category: Ultimate endurance through suffering & sacrifice

Could avoid: Refuse the path of suffering.
