Chapter (3) Mastering Clarity

1. Learn from everyone, follow no one.

2. The wise man learns from his mistakes; the wiser man learns from the mistakes of others.

3. Employ your time to improve yourself through other men’s writings, and you will quickly gain what others have laboured for.

4. The greatest skill one can develop is to reduce the gap between idea and execution.

5. If you need ideas, read. If you have ideas but cannot articulate them, write. If you have ideas and the clarity to execute them, build them.

6. Do not just think about your idea; write it down.

7. Never underestimate your simple ideas.

8. Understanding a question is half an answer.

9. To think clearly, write clearly. To think deeply, write a lot clearly.

10. An idea when writing is more precise than an idea when thinking about it.
